Description
As of the model year 2015, cooling components have been positioned in the area of the front bumper in all engine variants of the G-Class. However, this necessary technical optimisation of the cooling capacity for the engine, transmission and charge air cooler makes the installation of an electric winch more difficult; the classic LeTech solid steel construction winch bumper cannot be installed on these vehicles.
Therefore we have developed a modern, robust winch carrier, which enables winch mounting on the vehicle frame. An adapter set connects the cut side panels of the existing bumper to the LeTech winch carrier. This limits the effort for installation and the position and function of the coolers remain untouched so as not to impair their effectiveness.
Winch installation and adapter are perfectly protected against corrosion by cathodic dip coating and powder coating. The licence plate is attached to the protective bar.
